Youthreach and Community Training Centres

Youthreach is available across 8 City of Dublin FET College locations, offering young people aged 16 to 20 a flexible, supportive way to continue their education.

The programme combines general education with practical skills training and personalised support. Learners can gain recognised qualifications, receive a training allowance, and benefit from mentoring and guidance to help plan their next steps.

Our learner centred approach builds confidence, strong relationships, and real-world readiness, preparing young people to progress to further education, training, or employment.

Community Training Centres (CTC) support young people aged 16-21 who have left school early, providing a friendly learning environment where they can work at their own pace and achieve recognised certificates. Community Training Centres (CTCs) are independent, community-based organisations in Ireland, offering the Youthreach programme and providing tailored education, training and work experience for early school leavers aged 16–21. They offer a flexible, supportive environment for young people to work at their own pace and achieve recognised qualifications.

City of Dublin ETB funds and supports Community Training Centres across Dublin city.  These programmes are supported by the Community Training team based in City of Dublin FET College, Finglas, Jamestown Rd. For more information contact finglasday@ftc.cdetb.ie.
