Part-time Community Education courses offer a wide range of subjects, including:

- Community Development
Community Education courses aim to remove barriers to education, providing opportunities for personal growth, skill development and community engagement. Designed around local needs, empowering learners and their communities, courses range from beginner level to NFQ Level 5 qualifications.

Adult Literacy for Life Coalition
City of Dublin FET College facilitates the Regional Adult Literacy Coalition in Dublin city to implement the Adult Literacy for Life strategy. It has representatives from lots of organisations that want to work together to improve services and supports for adults with unmet literacy, numeracy and digital literacy needs.

Education Services to Prisons
Education Services to Prisons and Pathways Post Release Centre
In partnership with the Irish Prison Service, City of Dublin FET College delivers education services across seven Dublin prisons: Arbour Hill, Cloverhill, Dóchas Centre, Mountjoy, Mountjoy West, the Training Unit, and Wheatfield.
Our Education Service to Prisons offers a wide range of courses across FET College faculty areas, designed to meet the needs of learners in custody. Programmes include life skills, literacy and digital learning, as well as Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate, and QQI accredited courses.
Learners can also access third level education through partnerships with the Open University and Maynooth University, supporting progression beyond prison education.
Supporting Learners After Release
The Pathways Post Release Centre provides vital support to former prisoners during the transition back into the community. The centre offers education advice, counselling, referrals and practical support in a safe and welcoming environment, helping learners build positive futures.

FET Projects
In partnership with the District Court, City of Dublin FET College provides the education programme for the Drug Treatment Court. Offering accredited and nonaccredited education, one-to-one guidance, and wraparound supports for participants on the programme. Classes take place in City of Dublin FET College, Parnell with the aim of supporting learners to become drugfree and progress into work or further education.

Based in Dublin 8, Bridge supports young adult offenders through an intensive, community-based probation scheme. A multidisciplinary team provides accredited education and training options at NFQ Levels 15 including literacy, digital skills, hair and beauty, catering, and bicycle mechanics, helping participants reintegrate and upskill post release.

In partnership with homeless services, Foundations increases access to education for adults and children using homeless supports. Programmes are delivered in City of Dublin FET College, Parnell, and include literacy, language and lifelong learning, as well as afterschool and summer activities at Tilly’s, Sean McDermott Street.

YES supports young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds especially unaccompanied minors over the age of 16, through education, youth work, lifeskills, cultural activities, outreach and QQI accredited learning opportunities.
